At Idola towers, 2022 now looks like a blur!! Starting as a new team in January (albeit growing from VR Motorsport), bringing a new group of mechanics, technicians, media experts, data engineers - and of course drivers, on-board has been quite a challenge.

Ruben Stanislaus and Lewis Appiagyei joined Idola Motorsport for two rounds of the season and performed brilliantly. Their story is now available on BBC iPlayer - search for the ‘We are England’ series of programs, and theirs is called ‘Born to race’.

It all came down to the wire at Donington Park for the final 2 rounds of the Praga Cup UK. The season seemed to go past in a flash and before we knew it, the championship was about to be decided once and for all.

Another opportunity to let our (thinning) hair down! Jody Scheckers Laverstocke Farm was the location of our very first Carfest outing in 2019 so it was great to be able to continue the tradition with our group continuing to grow alongside our friends at Grant Williams racing, plus the new Idola BMW M3 made an appearance for passenger hot laps.

An event we have been planning to do for a number of years - usually at Dunsfold airfield, this year it was at Goodwood circuit.

Every now and again the Idola Motorsport team like to let their hair down (those who have it!) and show off the Pragas to people who may not usually attend race events.

After the disappointment from the Goldie camp of Snetterton’s disqualification followed by jubilation in race 2 - Idola were determined to have a calmer time at Silverstone…

Sywell Supercarfest - Pragas aplenty!

Last year Snetterton brought us a monsoon, this time around it was quite a bit different but still plenty of drama to report.

Following the tough weekend that was Silverstone, the team arrived at Oulton Park circuit very much invigorated and ready to bring in the silverware.
