Idola expands…..

With the 2024 season looming Idola have made the bold decision to expand into single seater racing with the purchase of a Tatuus GB4 car.

Following a lot of research into the best series for Idola to compete in alongside their Praga campaigns, they decided that the MSVR led GB4 championship offered an ideal mix of close racing, great support and growing grids. Their new car - no.56 was purchased from a highly successful GB4 team and Idola were testing at a private day booked by VR Motorsport at Anglesey within a week of collecting the car! With support from Arden racing, the driver was Norwegian karting ace Lilo Fyrileiv who raced a Praga with the team at Assen earlier this year, and again in Norway at a Time Attack event. The weather was bright and sunny, if a little cold and Lilo took no time in getting on the pace - with fastest lap exceeding everyone’s expectations.

The team also had new drivers in the Praga at Anglesey and it was great to see them adapting quickly to the prototype.

Next season Idola in collaboration with VR Motorsport will be competing in both Zeo Prototype Cup with two Praga R1T cars, as well as the MSVR GB4 Championship.
