2023 - First test of the year

With the cars fresh from their winter rebuild, and drivers Ruben Stanislaus and Lewis Appiagyei fresh from their BBC Documentary and guest appearance at the Autosport show - we descended upon a dry but chilly Silverstone GP circuit for a semi-exclusive test day to start the season off the right way.

Track temperature was always going to be an issue and even with pre-warmed tyres it was tough work to keep the temps up during the sessions. However the positive side of this was that Lewis and Ruben were able to hone their skills working the tyres to get the most out of the rubber. Both drivers had great sessions all day and the lap times came down and down.

It was good for the Idola Techs to get back into the trackside groove as well, the choice of shorts for the day was questionable but there was no complaining..!

The day ended well with both drivers achieving the target lap times we had worked out for them - things are getting exciting and can’t wait to see them on the grid.
